Milk Thistle is a spiny leaved plant. The seed of its fruit consist of four substances known as silymarin, with silybin as the most potent of the four. Milk thistle is known to help those with liver damage such as liver cirrhosis, alcoholic hepatitis, alcoholic fatty liver, liver poisoning and viral hepatitis and provide long term liver support which can even assist in the regeneration of liver cells. Silymarin displace toxins binding to the liver causing the cells of the liver to regenerate at a faster rate.
